We try to make lots of healthy snacks at home so we don't need to rely on a lot of store-bought packaged snacks. They're often healthier, more cost effective, create less waste, and just taste better. When I find a recipe that is quick, delicious, healthy and everyone likes it? It's a keeper.
We discovered fellow Canadian Angela Liddon a few years ago when we picked up her vegan cookbook Oh She Glows after reading her blog for a while. I was drawn to her blog because of the gorgeous photos, delicious looking food, and great writing style.
One of our favourite recipes from the book is for her GloBars.
They are sooooooo good, quick, delicious, and freeze well (important for me since I often double the batch and freeze the extra's for quick snacks in the future).
