We pride ourselves on using the best quality ingredients. To borrow one of my favourite words from my late Dad, we’re also not chintzy about it. Our first ingredient in our Balancing Face Oil is Argan Oil, which tells a little about where our head is at when we create and blend our goods.
Argan Oil is a highly sought after ingredient. It’s rare, expensive, full of nutrients and is said to heal and protect the skin from the signs of aging. It’s light and absorbs quickly.
Many products nowadays contain Argan Oil, but please remember one of the aspects of greenwashing. Some companies will use choice words like ‘natural’, ‘green’, ‘clean’ or include in their product name, a super high quality ingredient. However, upon further inspection that ingredient that is so wonderful, is one of the last in the product, hardly a highlight. I’ll never forget seeing an ‘Argan Oil Body Butter’ at a large retailer. I picked it up, flipped it over and started reading the ingredients. After a long laundry list of questionable ingredients, Argan Oil was towards the end, likely so little used in each product to hardly impact the benefits to the user.
The Argan Oil we use is unrefined, cold pressed from the fruit kernels of the Moroccan argan tree and certified organic.
We will never compromise on quality, and will continue to try to educate people on greenwashing and the ingredient use in skincare goods. Knowledge is power!
