Hot Cocoa Mix

December 23, 2015

Consumable gifts are great. They are green, usually come in reusable packaging or glass, and almost always guaranteed to be delicious. Well, I suppose that last point isn’t always true, but for the most part it is :)

An easy, delicious and always well received consumable gift is Hot Cocoa Mix. Most store bought versions are loaded with sugar and all sorts of unnecessary additives and preservatives. This one is simple, easy and you can adjust the sweetness to taste. This is the original recipe, feel free to substitute cocoa for cacao powder, and a different type of sugar if you’d like.

1 cup cacao powder

1 cup coconut sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp sea salt

Give the whole lot a quick whirl in the nutribullet, or just shake it up.  Use approximately 1 tbsp per milk of choice. Warm up and enjoy.

Put it in a nice glass jar, add a gift tag, the recipe and instructions, and you’ve got a lovely gift for giving.
