I understand it can feel scary for many people and seem strange at first, but a nourishing face oil can do wonders for your skin. If you read the ingredients for any cream or lotion, you'll see that they all contain a mix of oils, along with water and an emulsifier to help bind the oil and water together, and then always a preservative because anytime water is introduced into a product, you'd need a preservative to keep it from going rancid quickly.
When I was developing our Balancing Face Oil, I didn't want to use a preservative and decided that a face oil blend was the way to go. Personally, I'd never used a face oil before, and to be honest it freaked me out a bit. Once I started learning more about ingredients and how they can work together to help nourish your skin, I was sold. I formulated the Balancing Face Oil, tested it out on my eager and willing two legged friends, the verdict was in - everyone LOVED it.

Our Balancing Face Oil actually was developed just for me. Before Sola was Sola, I was only planning on replacing the products we were using as a family; with better, healthier, and more natural products. I wasn't interested in filler ingredients and only wanted to use what was necessary to get great results; no more and no less. What I developed in 2012 is the same today. No fillers, no unnecessary ingredients, and super saturated with high quality, plant based ingredients that nourish the skin.
The wonderful thing about a face oil, is that you can use it on it's own, mix it with a hydrosol, or even water. My recommendation is to always use it with our Rose Hydrosol. It's wonderful for the skin on it's own, and also helps get the oil into the deeper layers of the skin and helps the oil absorb quicker than if you use the oil alone. You could also use plain water and mix it with the oil for each application in the palm of your hand. Since everyone is different, you can customize the blend for your specific skin type, at the right time of year.
Personally I use 3 drops of the Balancing Face Oil into the palm of my hand, then two spritz's of Rose Hydrosol into that same hand. I rub my hands together and then spread the blend on my face neck and check. It absorbs quickly, and keeps my skin happy and hydrated all day. In winter or dryer climates I may add another drop of oil and another spritz of hydrosol, and then reduce when the weather warms up.
Since we started our company, our Coconut Deodorant has always been our top seller, but our Balancing Face Oil is a close second. I always love reading how the Balancing Face Oil works for our different customers. He's recent feedback from customers who admitted they were hesitant to try a face oil:
