The girls had some friends over after school and I wanted to bake some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, containing less sugar than an old recipe I’ve used in the past.
The seasons have shifted. The mornings are cool and crisp, and warm up nicely during the day, but you can tell that Fall is here…. Slippers have come out of hiding, warm tea is drunk at night instead of chilled drinks. With the season, my skin changes too. It becomes a little drier, and needs a little something extra from time to time.
Consumable gifts are great. They are green, usually come in reusable packaging or glass, and almost always guaranteed to be delicious. Well, I suppose that last point isn’t always true, but for the most part it is :)

Recently we purchased a spray-free veggie box from local farm God’s Little Acre in Surrey BC. The box was *full* of amazing veggies. I looked at all the wonderful carrots, and thought… soup. I needed to make soup.

Halloween is such a fun time of year for kids and adults alike. Costumes, decorations, candy, candy, and more candy. I haveso many fond memories of Trick or Treating when I was a kid, and honestly my favourite memory was at the end of the night, dumping out all of the candy that I had collected, and sorting them into categories.
